In modern industry and logistics, the transport system is like a silent pulse, supporting the revolution in the efficiency of the global movement of goods.
Whether it's assembling components in the automotive manufacturing workshop or sorting parcels in the e-commerce warehouse, the conveyor always achieves efficient transportation of materials in a precise manner.
The product basically consists of four parts:
- 1.Power source: Conveyors typically use an electric motor as a power source. The motor provides the energy required to move the goods along the conveyor.
- 2.Drive system: The motor is connected to the belt/roller/grid/chain plate. When the motor is activated, it drives the belt/mesh/chain plate or rotates the drum.
- 3.Loading of material: Items to be moved are placed on the conveyor.
- 4.Guiding device: The conveyor is equipped with rails or side plates to ensure that the material moves along a predetermined path.
Its function can be broken down into three main sections:
- 1.Power system: the drive core
Conveyors are powered by electric motors or hydraulic systems to drive rollers or chains to produce continuous motion. Taking the widely used roller conveyor as an example, variable frequency motors can dynamically adjust the speed according to load demand, ensuring smooth transport from light parcels to heavy machinery.
On the other hand, synchronised drive systems (e.g. timing belt drive systems) operate with precision gears to synchronise the operation of multiple conveyor sections and avoid jams and diversions.
- 2.Movement and execution: modular synergy
1. Driver unit: each conveyor section is equipped with an independent driver unit, which receives commands via PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to implement a start-stop connection of a section or complete line.
2. Conveyor:
-Roller structure: seamless steel tubes with non-slip surface treatment, lifting materials forward by friction.
-Mesh belt / chain plate / belt: suitable for high temperature or inclined conveying scenarios, precise positioning through the chain bite gear.
3. Guiding and sorting: by means of pendulum wheel, roller pusher or cross belt device, can realize precise guiding and sorting of materials at the predetermined nodes, with the error controlled within ±3mm.
- 3.Intelligent control: digital control center
The modern conveyor system is equipped with a network of multi-level sensors:
- Photoelectric sensor: real-time monitoring of the position and distance of the materials, dynamic adjustment of the conveying speed
- Pressure sensor: activation of deceleration or shutdown protection in case of abnormal high load.
- IoT integration: through the cloud platform to achieve remote monitoring, early fault warning and route optimization, and seamless connection with WMS (warehouse management system), forming a closed loop of the whole process data.
